# Documentation search

Search Sumble's product documentation without downloading or indexing it yourself. Each result includes a path, title, and short matching excerpt. Published pages also include a URL. Other pages return `null` for `url`.

Use a few words or a short question. Search is case-insensitive and accounts for common English word forms, so a query does not need to use the exact wording on the page. BM25 scores the words independently: word order and adjacency do not make an exact phrase match.

The endpoint searches pages from [docs.sumble.com](https://docs.sumble.com) and additional product guidance. Use the returned URL to cite a published page. Use `path` with `GetDocumentationPage` to read the full page through MCP.
