Filter and sort by CRM data
Show fields from your CRM as columns on the Sumble organization table, then filter and sort by them.
Sumble can pull fields from your CRM and show them as extra columns on the organization table. Once a field is set up you can filter and sort Sumble's data by your own account data, so questions like "which accounts in my Tier 1 segment are hiring for Databricks" become a single search.
You don't set these up yourself. Tell us which fields you want during setup and we'll configure the mapping accordingly. See Requesting a column.
What can become a column
Salesforce
Any field on the Account object. We can also derive a value from a related object, for example the number of open opportunities per account.
HubSpot
Any Company property.
Common examples: account tier or segment, industry as your CRM records it, contract value, renewal quarter, open pipeline, a flag for strategic accounts.
Column types
Every column has a type, which decides what you can do with it.
Enum
A fixed set of text values, such as Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3
Pick one or more values
No
Boolean
True or false
Pick True or False
No
Number
A number
Set a minimum, a maximum, or both
Yes
Custom
Any text, shown as-is
No
No
Only Number columns can be sorted, because they are the only type with an order Sumble can rank by. Sorting runs highest to lowest first, and clicking again reverses it. Accounts with no value in that column sort last either way.
Use Custom for a field you want to read on the row but never filter by, such as a free-text account note.
Turning a column on
CRM columns are off by default, so each user picks the ones they want.
Go to organization search.
Click the
+on the table header to open the column manager.Your CRM columns are listed with your CRM's logo and the caption "from CRM".
Enable the ones you want.
Filtering and sorting
Filters live on the column header. Click the filter icon on a CRM column, set your values, and click Apply.
A CRM filter is part of the search like any other Sumble filter, which means it:
combines with every other filter, so you can cross your segment against technology, hiring, and headcount criteria
can be kept as a saved search
can be turned into an account list
applies to exports, so an export covers only the matching accounts
Who can see them
CRM columns are visible to users on a Sumble account with a connected CRM. If your account has no CRM connected, no CRM columns appear and nothing changes in the table.
How the values stay current
Values refresh on your CRM sync. A field you edit in Salesforce or HubSpot appears in Sumble on the next sync.
When one account maps to several CRM records
Your CRM can hold more than one record for the same company, for example a parent account and a subsidiary that both match one Sumble organization. Sumble picks one value per column:
the value on the record marked as your customer account wins
failing that, the first record with a value fills the cell
for Number columns the highest value wins, which keeps the cell consistent with the sort order
Account status is not a CRM column
The Customer / Prospect / Not in CRM chip comes from its own mapping: the CRM field that marks which accounts are already yours. Once that field is mapped, the chip appears across the app and the field itself is never offered in the column manager, because Sumble shows it as the status chip instead. Tell us which field you use and we'll add it to your mapping.
Requesting a column
Let us know during setup, or through your account team at any point after, and we'll configure the mapping. For each column, tell us:
the CRM object and the exact field or property name
the label you want on the column header
the type from the table above
for an Enum, the list of values it can take
for a Salesforce related-record field, what should be counted or summed and against which object
The column appears after the next sync.
Troubleshooting
A column exists but every cell is empty
The Salesforce integration user cannot read that field. These fail quietly by design so one field cannot stop the whole sync. See Salesforce permissions.
A column has no filter on its header
It is a Custom type column, which is display only. Ask us to change the type if you need to filter by it.
A column cannot be sorted
Only Number columns sort.
A value looks stale
Check the field in your CRM, then allow for the next sync.
