Slack alert setup
Deliver Sumble Signals alerts to reps in Slack.
Slack signal alerts deliver Sumble Signals to reps in Slack.
Sumble uses your account ownership mapping to route alerts, so each rep only sees their own book of business.
For app setup, account connection, and AI agent features, see the Slack Agent overview.
Delivery options
Each user can choose how they receive Slack alerts:
Direct messages — alerts are sent as DMs to the individual rep. This is the default.
Public channel — alerts are posted to a shared channel for team visibility.
Off — disables all Sumble notifications.
Users manage alert preferences from the Home tab in the Sumble app.
Priority filter
Users can filter alerts by priority:
High priority — only receive high-priority alerts
Medium and high priority — receive medium- and high-priority alerts
All alerts — receive all alerts
Alert content
Each Slack alert includes:
The organization name and a link to the organization page in Sumble
The signal type and a description of what was detected
Priority level (high, medium, or low)
A link to the relevant job post, person profile, or trend data
When it strengthens an insight, the agent may supplement a signal with recent public web results.
Alert frequency
Alerts are delivered after each daily pipeline run.
Duplicate signals are suppressed.
Ask follow-up questions
Priority Signal digests post as a short top-level message with a threaded reply listing every signal in that digest. Reply in the thread to ask the agent about any of them — it has the full signal detail on hand, not just the headline, so it can dig in without you opening Sumble. In a DM, just reply; in a shared channel, mention Sumble by name so it sees your reply.
Troubleshooting
Not receiving alerts
Verify your Slack account is connected in Account Settings
Check that your Sumble email matches your Slack email, or that you've completed the manual connection
Make sure you haven't muted the Sumble app in Slack
Check your notification preferences in the Sumble app's Home tab — you may have selected Don't send any updates
Alerts are generated based on your activity on Sumble — if you haven't used the platform recently, signal generation may be limited
Need to reconnect
If your Slack workspace changes or you need to re-authorize, reconnect from Account Settings.
